  1. In attention of language file translators!
  2.  
  3. 1) Before You Start
  4.  
  5. IcoFX uses non-Unicode language files. 
  6. You need to configure Windows in such a way 
  7. that it supports the non-Unicode language files.
  8. Please select the desired language at: 
  9. Control Panel -> Regional And Language Options -> 
  10. Advanced -> Language for non-Unicode Programs. 
  11. This will allow IcoFX to show the language files correctly.

  13. !!! Before you start the translation make sure that 
  14. there it is not already translated. Use the 
  15. Options/Languages/Download languages..." nemu point. Here 
  16. you can see the already translated languages !!!

  19. 2) The Language File
  20.  
  21. The language file is nothing more than a standard INI file. 
  22. It contains sections and key-value pairs. For example 
  23. ôactnTools.Caption=Toolsö here the ôactnTools.Captionö 
  24. is the key and ôToolsö is the value. 
  25. You need to translate ONLY the values. 
  26. Usually each window of IcoFX has a separate section. 
  27. All the general texts are stored in the section ôMSGö.

  30. 3) The ôGeneralö Section
  31.  
  32. Each language file starts with a ôGeneralö section. 
  33. IcoFX uses the Version key when downloading language files.
  34. If it has a newer version the old one will be overwritten.
  35. The Author and WebAddress keys are used to display information
  36. about the translater in the Acknowledgements section of the
  37. About box.
  38. The following keys are defined in this section:

  40. Version û The version of the language file
  41. IcoFXVersion û The version of IcoFX 
  42. Author û The name of the translator (You)
  43. WebAddress û Web page of the translator 
  44. Comment û Additional comments of the translator

  47. 4) Finished Translating

  49. The language file must be located in the Languages directory.
  50. If a language file was successfully translated, then please send it to 
  51. icofxsoftware@gmail.com, so I can post it on the web page of IcoFX to be 
  52. available for other users.

  55. 5) Acknowledgments
  56.  
  57. The name included in the ôAuthorö key and the web adress in the 
  58. "WebAddress" key of the ôGeneralö section will be automatically shown 
  59. in the Acknowledgements section of the About box if the language 
  60. file is selected. If you do not want your name and webaddress to appear 
  61. in the Acknowledgements section of the About box then leave these fields 
  62. empty.
